The Edmund McNulty Knitwear label was established in 1997 designing and producing knitwear primarily for the Gents luxury market. The Edmund McNulty Brand strives to offer a quality product through innovative design, yarn choices, experimentation and workmanship.
Before launching into business, Edmund studied Textile design at the Galway Institude of Technology and after a 2 year stint working in Botswana as a Development Worker, he returned home to pursue a career in Knitwear.
Contemporary and luxury yarns are at the centre of each collection and are used in combination with sophisticated design detailing to become the signature of Edmund's work. Various combinations of alpacas, kid mohairs, cashmeres and merino lambswools are used to create garments that reflect the mood of the Irish weather on the surrounding landscapes. Edmund grew up in a rural setting in County Donegal and has always been a keen observer of his natural environment. Subtle textures, garment construction and colour all play a key part in the development of each collection.
Based in the historic Millmount Centre in Drogheda, Co. Louth, Edmund's studio is open to the visiting public for sales, commissions and enquiries.
